ACT Conducts Advanced Training in ADR and ODR in Jerusalem
ACT for Conflict Resolution has successfully conducted an advanced training program in Alternative and Online Dispute Resolution (ADR & ODR). Held with the participation of Phase 1 graduates, the program was facilitated under the supervision of expert trainer Ms. Mai Abu Ghazaleh.
The six-day training took place in Jerusalem on August 18, 19, 22, 25, 26, and 29, aiming to develop participants' competencies in commercial mediation, cross-border arbitration, and online dispute resolution, elevating their expertise from foundational knowledge to specialized professional practice.
The curriculum covered advanced commercial mediation techniques, including managing multi-party and multi-issue disputes, reframing techniques, reality testing, and navigating power imbalances and emotional dynamics.
Additionally, the program addressed the core principles and practices of cross-border arbitration, arbitration agreements, and institutional rules such as UNCITRAL and ICC. It also covered the appointment of arbitrators, interim measures, and the drafting and enforcement of arbitral awards.
On the digital front, participants were introduced to ODR frameworks, virtual mediation rooms, secure digital case management, and procedural fairness in digital resolution. The segment culminated in a comprehensive simulation of an online mediation session.
The training concluded with an integrated practical simulation where participants were evaluated against professional competency standards, reinforcing their readiness to practice alternative dispute resolution in both local and international professional environments.
This initiative aligns with ACT’s vision to build specialized ADR practitioners and advance the adoption of modern digital tools to achieve more flexible and efficient dispute resolution outcomes.
