The Palestinian Center for Conflict Resolution (ACT) Strengthens Its International Presence Through an Advanced Mediation Programme in Switzerland
Reflecting the growing reach of Palestinian expertise in international professional dialogue, Mr. Mohammad Hadiya, Founder and Chair of the Palestinian Centre for Conflict Resolution (ACT), participated in the Going Global Master Class, organized by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University, USA, from 14 to 16 October 2026 in Switzerland.
The programme brought together a distinguished group of international mediators, experts, and practitioners from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, providing a specialized platform for in-depth discussions on contemporary issues in mediation, complex conflict management, trust-building, and facilitating dialogue across societal and political divides.
Hadiya’s participation brought the Palestinian experience into the heart of international discussions, highlighting the realities of mediation in the context of protracted conflicts and the challenges posed by polarization, eroding trust, and the complexities of peacebuilding. It also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and professional insights on the role of mediation in transforming conflicts and creating pathways for dialogue and mutual understanding in highly complex environments.
Beyond professional knowledge exchange, the programme offered an opportunity to build connections with international experts and institutions, explore potential avenues for cooperation, and advance professional practices and tools in mediation and conflict resolution.
This participation reflects ACT’s ongoing commitment to expanding its international presence and strengthening the visibility of Palestinian expertise in global discussions on mediation and peacebuilding. It is grounded in the belief that experiences gained in conflict-affected societies are a valuable source of knowledge, and that dialogue and the exchange of expertise are essential to developing more effective approaches to addressing the complexities of contemporary conflicts.
