ACT and WOMEN’S CENTRE FOR LEGAL AID AND COUNSELLING Sign MoU to Strengthen Partnership and Cooperation
ACT Conflict Resolution and the Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling (WCLAC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation and partnership between the two organizations. The agreement consolidates their expertise and efforts to better serve the Palestinian community and enhance responses to social and family needs.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Mohammad Hadieh, Executive Director of ACT Conflict Resolution, and Ms. Khawla Al-Azraq, General Director of the Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling.
This partnership stems from a shared vision regarding the crucial synergy between mediation/dispute resolution and psychological, social, legal support, and protection services. Combining these approaches fosters professional, safe, and more inclusive responses to family and community disputes.
The Memorandum of Understanding encompasses joint development and implementation of programs in family mediation and arbitration, capacity building, community awareness, knowledge exchange, and research. Furthermore, it outlines the establishment of safe case referral mechanisms between both organizations tailored to individual needs while ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and the protection of beneficiaries' rights.
Both parties emphasized that signing this MoU marks a vital step toward expanding civil society partnerships and aligning institutional roles to support women and families. This joint effort reinforces the values of dialogue, justice, and protection, ultimately contributing to sustainable social impact.
This partnership reflects the commitment of both ACT Conflict Resolution and WCLAC to advance collaborative work and pioneer professional initiatives that build community resilience in navigating challenges and disputes effectively and sustainably.
