21 May 2026

The shared vision between ACT Conflict Resolution Organization and the International Center for Strategic Studies (Madras) has culminated in the signing of a two‑year strategic memorandum of understanding, aimed at employing alternative legal tools and scientific research to address societal and national challenges.

The memorandum, signed by the Chairman of ACT, Mr. Mohamed Hadia, and the Director of Madras, Dr. Hassan Breijieh, lays the cornerstone for a qualitative integration that combines strategic analysis with legal practice on the ground.

The areas of joint cooperation focus on strengthening resilience and safeguarding rights: integrating the strategic research outputs of Madras to support citizens’ resilience and the rights of women and children; consolidating mediation and arbitration tools as professional approaches to conflict resolution; building the legal and academic capacities of both parties; launching specialized training programs and practical simulation sessions to enable trainees to design comprehensive settlement solutions; organizing specialized conferences and workshops; and preparing accurate reports and statistics that serve the causes of civil peace and international law.

This agreement represents a national partnership through which we take a significant step forward toward protecting social peace and advancing the legal instruments that safeguard it.
