ACT for Conflict Resolution and An-Najah National University Sign a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Alternative Dispute Resolution for a More Peaceful and Just Society
In a step that strengthens the practical approach to legal education and reinforces the role of mediation and arbitration as effective tools in Palestinian society, ACT for Conflict Resolution signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)with An-Najah National University – Faculty of Law and Political Science. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Noor Adas, Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Mohammad Hadiya, Chairman of ACT’s Board of Directors, and several members of the Board.
This agreement goes beyond academic cooperation—it establishes a long-term strategic partnership aimed at bridging theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling students to acquire real professional skills in conflict management through training, applied research, and community-based legal activities.
Under the MoU, both parties will work to promote the culture of peaceful conflict resolution among students and the wider community, implement specialized practical trainings within the legal clinic, develop training materials and professional resources related to mediation and arbitration, and organize joint workshops and exchange visits between ACT and the university.
The agreement will also provide law students with hands-on opportunities in realistic environments simulating mediation and arbitration processes, helping to prepare a new generation of legal professionals capable of offering innovative legal and community-based solutions to disputes beyond the traditional culture of litigation.
