ACT Conducts Intensive Training under the Project Empowering Women as Peacebuilders
ACT for Conflict Resolution conducted a three-day intensive training in October 2025 as part of its project “Empowering Women as Peacebuilders: Negotiation, Mediation, and Dialogue.” The training brought together 19 women from diverse community backgrounds to enhance their skills in negotiation, mediation strategies and stages, leadership, and active citizenship.
The program addressed a set of key themes designed to build participants’ capacities and equip them with new tools for community engagement. These included a comprehensive understanding of negotiation and women’s leadership roles, self-awareness and self-care as entry points for mental well-being and resilience, and active citizenship and storytelling as means to foster dialogue and influence within local conflict contexts. Participants also developed practical communication, negotiation, and mediation skills essential for managing conflicts effectively and constructively.
Through this initiative, ACT continues to strengthen women’s participation in peacebuilding processes and promote their leadership as agents of dialogue, resilience, and positive change within their communities.
