ACT launches mediation & arbitration training to prevent conflicts, supported by the Government of Canada
09 November 2025

ACT – Alternative Dispute Resolution launched a specialized training program on mediation and arbitration to prevent conflicts, under the project “Prevent to Protect: Early Action for Safer Communities”, supported by the Government of Canada.

The program aims to curb the escalation of community disputes and violence in Jerusalem by equipping youth, women, and community leaders with practical skills in mediation and arbitration that strengthen early intervention and promote constructive, peaceful solutions.

The first session, held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, offered an analytical look into conflict dynamics in Jerusalem, the role of family and clan structures, and the limited participation of women in community dispute resolution — exploring ways to expand their active involvement.

The program will continue with seven additional sessions combining theory and practice through simulations and group exercises designed to enhance dialogue and peaceful conflict prevention.
