ACT Institution Conflict Resolution held a meeting at the Jerusalem Suburbs’ Police headquarters to discuss the work progress of the Project "Promoting civil peace in the suburbs of Jerusalem"
The meeting discussed the mechanism of implementing the initiatives in the upcomingphase of the project, and the need to break the barrier between the Palestinian police and citizens through community partnership which is essential towards serving the public best interest.
The particiapnts stressed the importance of youth initiatives, stimulating the voluntary spirit of citizens, and spreading the culture of law and civil peace.
The meeting was attended by Colonel Fawaz Talib, the Chief of Jerusalem Suburbs Police, Director of Community Police Program Colonel Farid Ladadoueh ,Director of Public Relations and Media in Jerusalem Suburbs Police Colonel Ahed Hasayen, and the Director of Act institution for Conflict Resolution Mohammad Hadiah.
The project is being implemented by ACT institution for Conflict Resolution in partnership with the Palestinian through funding from GIZ.
