ACT for Conflict Resolution held a dialogue session titled “To intervene or not to intervene: What is the Role of the Mediator” through the mediation forum.
This was on Thursday 06/12/2024 via Zoom, where Professor Fatima Ibrahim - Consultant on Legislative Reform, Mediation, and Restorative Justice was hosted. In which Mr. Mohamed Hadiya - lawyer, mediator, arbitrator, and founder of ACT conversed with her.
The session discussed many topics, most notably the mediator’s authority, the mediator’s proposal for solutions, the mediator’s proposal for solutions in evaluative mediation, while not proposing solutions in facilitative mediation, and the details of the process.
More than 100 participants attended the meeting, where information, knowledge and experiences were exchanged between the participants and the session’s interlocutors, and all questions raised were answered.
