Al-Quds Bard College collaborated with ACT for Conflict Resolution

Al-Quds Bard College collaborated with ACT for Conflict Resolution on Wednesday April 24th, 2024, through a Zoom session on communication skills presented by Mr. Mohammad Hadieh, this session was the first out of 4 sessions with AQB students that is meant to help guide the students in the world of diplomacy and international relations. The hour long virtual session walked the AQB students through the concept of communication on both a personal and professional level so that the aspiring ambassadors and diplomats, or the aspiring individuals who wants to be contributors to their communities and their society can understand how and why communication relates to their daily lives and how influential it is for the improvement of connections, interests, and even peace on the national and the international level. Multiple axes were brought up during the session, including the meaning of communication, the role that the lack of communication can play in the destruction of relations, the important communication skills like active listening, body language, the importance of not having previous assumptions, and the most prominent communication related challenges that we face in the Palestinian society.
