ACT for Conflict Resolution concludes the training course on the topic of gender-based violence.
On Saturday February 24th, 2024, ACT concluded a training on the topic of gender-based violence, which it implemented within the “Strengthening Communities project to prevent and respond to gender-based violence in East Jerusalem” with the support of the Government of Canada. 15 participants participated in the training, including lawyers and specialists in the field of social service, psychology, accounting, and various specializations.
This training was provided by trainer Mahdi Shalodi, with a forty-hour training period that included a focus on understanding the subject of violence, its types, forms and impact, in addition to knowing the concept of gender, international laws and agreements, human rights, strategies for prevention and effective response to violence, and emphasizing the importance of the role of mediation in resolving issues related to gender-based violence through practical applications.
