ACT for Conflict Resolution holds a meeting of the Academic Committee for the purpose of issuing the fourth issue of the Mediation and Arbitration Journal
Within the framework of ACT’s initiative to spread the culture of arbitration and enhance the role of alternative dispute means, on Monday February 12th 2024, at seven o’clock Jerusalem time, and via Zoom, ACT held its first meeting of the Academic Committee on Arbitration Topics with the aim of issuing the fourth issue of the Mediation and Arbitration Journal.
The Academic Committee was formed by Dr. Muhammad Al-Shaheer from Egypt, Dr. Anas Abu Al-Awn from Palestine, Dr. Omar Al-Saktani from Morocco, Dr. Saja Amarneh from Iraq, and Professor Zeina Ahmed from Syria. The majority of the members attended, in addition to the presence of Professor Hala Marei, member of the Legal Committee of ACT for Conflict Resolution and rapporteur. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Heba Thouqan, Chair of the Legal Committee of ACT. Several topics were discussed, including the mechanisms and rules for publishing the journal, the general themes of the arbitration topics that will be included in the fourth issue of the journal, and the mechanisms for evaluating research submitted by researchers.
The application mechanism for researchers wishing to publish their research in the fourth issue of the journal will be announced soon.
