Finalizing Mediation Fundamentals Course
On Saturday, 6/1/2024, ACT Conflict Resolution completed the Mediation Fundamentals Course within the Project Titled: "Enhancing Social Immunity in Prevention and Responding to Gender-based Violence Issues" which was implemented with the support of the Canadian Government to prepare and qualify mediators capable of resolving conflicts amicably through dialogue and communication between the conflicting parties.
This training course brought together 15 participants working as: Engineers, Sociologists, Administrators, Accountants, Law students and other experts from various professional fields of interest who are active in conflict resolution.
Mai Abu Ghazaleh provided this training and included analysis of the conflict, its elements, levels and evolution and a look at alternative means of dispute resolution such as arbitration, negotiation, clan reconciliation and mediation (concepts, areas, mediation patterns, objective, mediation role, mediation skills, mediation principles, mediation process stages, final settlement agreement)
The training also included practical applications and simulation sessions of mediation stages and skills.
