The Third Issue of Mediation and Arbitration Journal 2023

We are pleased to announce the publication of the third issue of Mediation and Arbitration Journal 2023 as part of the project to strengthen the role of alternative means of dispute resolution in Jerusalem with the support of the Swasiyah Program.

The third issue of the journal contains a series of articles and various research in the fields of mediation and arbitration. The publication of this issue of the Journal was overseen by Advocate Hiba Thouqan from Palestine. The Scientific Committee comprised of: Advocate Mohammad Hadieh (Palestine), Professor Fatma Ibrahim (Egypt), and Doctor Eman Mansour (Egypt), has participated in the mediation articles.

As for the arbitration articles, The Scientific Committee comprised of: Doctor Omar Al-Souktani (Morrocco), and Doctor Mohammad Al-Shahir (Egypt), has participated in the arbitration aspect of the articles within this journal.

Many distinguished researchers from Palestine and various Arab countries have participated in valuable articles and research that have an impact in enriching the Arab Library with research on the topics of alternative means of dispute resolution:

1. “The Principles of Mediation” written by Advocate Mai Abu Ghazaleh.
2. “The Role of Attorneys in The Mediation Process” written by Eman Mansour.
3. “The Effects of Mediation on The Conflict: The Perspective of Palestinian Juvenile Law” written by Randa Qadadha.
4. “Mediation and Social Cultural Identity: Between The Ego and Other” written by Israr Salmi.
5. “How to Become a Mediator in Jerusalem?”  written by Mohammad Hadieh.

On the level of international mediation, the following articles were published:

1. “The Efforts of International Mediation on The Arab Palestinian – Israeli Conflict in Recent Years” written by Diana Faour.
2. “The Compatibility of Efforts in Palestinian Reconciliation within the Framework of the International Mediation Concept” written by Bairam Ghazal.

The second section of the journal includes arbitration research as follows:

6. “Arbitration in Investment Contracts” written by Ola Omar.
7. “Arbitration of the International Center between the Provisions of the Washington Convention and the Arbitration Jurisprudence” written by Raja Janah.
