Mediation and Peace Dialogue
The ACT Foundation for Conflict Resolution organized a dialogue session on mediation and peace, during which it hosted Professor Fatima Ibrahim and lawyer Mohammad Hadieh, during which they discussed the feelings and mentality of mediators during wars, and presented fundamental questions about neutrality, empathy, the falling of individuals as victims of campaigns affecting public opinion, and the weak ability of ordinary individuals to express their opinions. Their feelings and opinions, especially those that conflict with public opinion.
The role that mediators can play within their communities during wars and their ability to influence, change, and build peace. The role of states in mediation during wars, standards for managing negotiation and mediation, and related subtopics were the topics of the discussion, in which approximately 80 people from different regions of the world participated, accompanied by the provision of an interpretation service.
