Major General Youssef El-Helou introduces a series of awareness-raising workshops on crime scenes.
Ramallah. Today, Major General Youssef El-Helou, Director General of Police, introduced the Time to Act project implemented by the ACT Foundation for Conflict Resolution in partnership with the Palestinian Police and with funding from the German Foundation for International Cooperation GIZ, which includes 39 workshops in all governorates in partnership between the police and all security agencies. To raise awareness about the crime scene and its role in promoting criminal justice at the Caesar Hotel in Ramallah.
The Police Public Relations and Media Department stated that the project was introduced in the presence of Mr. Bahaa Al-Ahmad, Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Thomas Demrich, Coordinator of the Governance Sector and Director of the German-Palestinian Partnership Program for Police, Mr. Muhammad Hadia, Director of the ACT Foundation for Conflict Resolution, the Assistant Director General of Police and a number of directors Specialized departments, provincial police directors, representatives from the Ministry of Justice, and police and security personnel.

He also pointed out the importance of refining the skills of workers in the competent departments and developing tools and people in a distinguished scientific professional manner.

It is noteworthy that after the opening session, the first workshop of the project was held and it included 3 parts. The first was about the first responder to the crime scene presented by Colonel Saeed Nasr, Director of the Forensic Evidence Department, and the second was about introducing the criminal laboratory and presented by Brigadier Engineer Najeh Samara, Director of the Criminal Laboratory, and the third was about electronic crime and crime scenes. The digital presentation was presented by Colonel Samer Al-Hindi, Director of the Department for Combating Electronic Crimes.
