The second phase of the training course on mediation and arbitration in family disputes started
ACT conflict resolution held the fourth training meeting of Mediation and Arbitration in family dispute Course (Phase Two), on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, after 10 participants passed the first stage exams on the basics of mediation and arbitration.
The training includes 9 meetings, in total 30 training hours, focusing on the arbitrators’ mechanism of action, understanding the rulings issued by the Sharia Court of Appeal. Analysing the reasons for the court’s rejection or acceptance of arbitrators’ reports, and the skills of asking questions produced during individual mediation sessions. That helps identify and analyse the problem so that the mediator can gather as much information as possible about the conflict before moving on to the joint sessions, with the aim of helping the parties reach an agreement.
It is worth noting that the mediation and arbitration course in family disputes was a great success for the institution, which constantly seeks to empower young people and enhance their abilities to work as mediators, and a new course will be held soon on family mediation in the city of Hebron.
