The Norwegian Deputy Representative meets with Palestinian youth at ACT for Conflict Resolution
ACT for Conflict Resolution hosted Mr. Erling Hoem, Deputy Representative of the Representative Office of Norway to the Palestinian Authority in a roundtable session aimed at deepening the understanding of the current and future impact of the Oslo Accords on Palestinian youth in Jerusalem.
Mr. Hoem presented the work of the Norwegian Representation in Palestine, from both the political and developmental aspects, and reviewed the mechanisms for the Representative Office's interaction with the developments and ongoing changes in Palestine. He also described the Norwegian Representative Offices’ role in countering the violations of the Israeli occupation towards human rights and the intervention mechanisms it adopted through the years.
During the roundtable, a number of questions was raised by the participating youth about the role of Representative Office in working towards a Two-State Solution and the efficiency of that approach.
