A training session titled "Arbitration in cases of dispute and discord" is carried out by ACT organization for Conflict and Dispute Resolution, and funded by the Government of Canada. It aims to enhance the capacity of arbitrators who work in Sharia courts in Jerusalem. The training covers different subjects including the rules and procedures of arbitration, the difference between arbitration and mediation as well as a framework to facilitate their work. After this training, the arbitrators will be able to manage cases related to family disputes in addition to the experience of applying the MED-ARB model to the arbitration process in legal disputes
