Mohammad Hadieh

A lawyer practicing before the Palestinian courts. He holds a master’s degree in public law from Al-Quds University, and the Executive Program in Negotiation and Strategic Leadership from Harvard University. An accredited mediator and arbitrator in the courts in Jerusalem and Ramallah, and in the mediation and arbitration centers affiliated with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Hebron, Ramallah, and Al-Bireh Governorates. He worked as a mediator and arbitrator in more than fifty cases in civil, commercial and family disputes and chaired several arbitration panels. The first to develop a guide for mediation and arbitration in one process in Palestine and the Arab region. Researcher, trainer and expert in mediation, conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
He is the founder of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACT), and previously served as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Executive Director and is currently Vice Chairman of its Board of Directors. He is a founding member of the Arab Permanent Court of Arbitration, a founding member of the Mediation and Arbitration Center of the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of its Executive Committee, a founding member of the Al-Ru’a Center for Political and Strategic Studies, a member of the Advisory Board of the Bridging Insights Foundation, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Jerusalem Governorate.
He previously established the International Judicial Cooperation Unit in the Ministry of Justice in Palestine and contributed to institutionalizing and activating the work of the joint international committees emanating from international legal and judicial cooperation treaties. He achieved success stories related to the recovery of criminals fleeing justice in two documented precedents. He also worked as a consultant for the International Quartet on security and rule of law issues. He joined the technical support team of the Negotiations Support Unit in the Negotiations Affairs Department as a legal advisor for the Jerusalem, security, and rule of law files.
